A negative grade is generally worse than an ungraded one. A negative grade indicates that the work was not satisfactory and can have a negative impact on a student's overall academic record. An ungraded assignment, on the other hand, may not have the same immediate impact on a student's GPA and can sometimes be made up for with additional effort or communication with the instructor. However, it is important to address ungraded assignments promptly to ensure that they do not negatively impact a student's progress in the course. **

Writing an ungraded paper in one day requires careful planning and time management. Start by choosing a topic that you are familiar with and can easily research. Create an outline to organize your thoughts and ensure a clear structure for your paper. Then, dedicate focused blocks of time to writing, revising, and editing your paper. Finally, make sure to take breaks and stay hydrated to maintain your focus and productivity throughout the day. Remember that the goal is to produce a coherent and well-organized paper, even if it is not graded. **

In Austria, a teacher can give an ungraded mark when they want to provide feedback to the student without assigning a specific grade.
