Sunnis and Alevis are two major branches of Islam. Sunnis make up the majority of the Muslim population worldwide and follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith and the Quran. Alevis, on the other hand, are a minority sect primarily found in Turkey and they have distinct beliefs and practices that differ from mainstream Sunni Islam. They place a strong emphasis on the teachings of Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, and have their own unique rituals and traditions. **

Sunnis and Shiites are the two main branches of Islam. The division between the two groups originated from a disagreement over who should succeed the Prophet Muhammad as the leader of the Muslim community. Sunnis believe that the leader should be elected, while Shiites believe that the leader should be a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. This historical disagreement has led to differences in religious practices, beliefs, and interpretations of Islamic teachings between the two groups. Today, Sunnis make up the majority of the Muslim population, while Shiites are the largest minority. **
